As someone who doesn't give a fuck about differences b/w the manga and anime unless I was actually a fan of said manga to begin with (this is the only logical stance, in my view...if I'd never read the manga, how the fuck would I know anything was changed?!), I'm completely happy with my decision not to care about the remake after having watched all of the "old" stuff a couple years back (series/movie/OVAs.) I also like the music of the old series more. If someone's not going to get their panties in a twist about the manga/anime differences, then they should just feel free to just go ahead and marathon the old stuff.
