When I say ignored, I say they don't have as much popularity as the big shows of the season, even if they are just as good or even better. Shin Mazinger, Souten Kouro, Birdy, Sunred are only a fraction of examples from the last few years. Hell, Baccano happened to be lucky, but even it its case, when it was airing it wasn't very popular.
