I download my anime before I want to watch them. So I can always choose from a pool of about 10 series and it takes me just a day to download any desired series.

CCCP was designed intentionally for the anime fanbase by collecting the common codecs used by fansubbers and working them into a single, easy to use package. It contains just enough to work properly; if will handle almost anything you throw at it with minimal resource use.

K-lite includes a host of unnecessary codes. If you're worried about bloat and resource use, CCCP is superior. One minor issue is that the CCCP does not always keep up with the latest releases of some of their internal software, most pointedly MPC-HC.

3. Install CCCP.
4. Install CoreAVC, do not install Haali Media Splitter that comes with it.
5. Go to CCCP settings page 1 and uncheck H.264 (and MT) under FFDShow Video Decoders.
6. Watch stuff in Media Player Classic HomeCinema (MPC-HC) that comes with CCCP (preferred renderers are Haali Video Renderer and EVR).
