Welcome to /a/, hopefully newfriends and not newfags. I see that you have come to /a/. Before you post, here's a brief rundown on how not to be a faggot and how each and every one of you can prevent this board from becoming a shitfest.

1. As you can see, this post, as well as those of many other /a/nons, uses proper English. What this means is proper capitalization, proper spelling, proper grammar, and proper punctuation. Do not use a thousand exclamation points. Do not make your posts completely unintelligible. By typing with your brain and not your fingers, you are one step away from newfaggotry.

2. As this is an anime board, it is important that you know your anime. I don't mean things like the Big 3, that's what's Gaia is for. I mean you need to know what shows are airing during the current season (this is extremely important because nothing irks anyone more than someone crying for sauce over a show that's not only currently airing, but has already been demanded of sauce countless times) through websites such as Chartfag. Doing this makes you seem less like a newfag and can also allow you a brief overview of the season so you can decide to watch and what not to without crying for sauce over a show you see being discussed.

3. Speaking of sauce, before any of you open your mouth, please do the following: skim through the pictures and check the FUCKING FILENAME, then skim through the thread and check for any mention of the show name, check Chartfag, and THEN ask for sauce. Doing this can help lower the blood pressure of many /a/nons.

4. None of that /b/ faggotry. No gets, no memes, none. If it's surely out of your control, put them all in one thread.

5. Also try to keep everything about a show in one thread unless the topic you wish to discuss is radically different from that in an existing thread.

6. Do not stream. Do not fucking stream. Always torrent or DDL your anime. The most common source for newly added shows is TokyoTosho, often abbreviated as TT, but for those without many seeds due to it being newly released, check the sub group's IRC and download it from there. NEVER STREAM. EVER.

7. .mkv files ONLY. Get MPC-HC, download CCCP and CoreAVC, and watch anime the true way that doesn't force you to squint or get annoyed by lolpixels.

8. For reading manga, it is recommended to get your fixes from MangaToshokan.

9. Whenever you screenshot, ALWAYS USE JPG. PERIOD. PNG is just a massive pile of 2 million worthless colors. We don't need 2 million. We just need 256. Use JPG and save us time loading up your 1.5 MB picture file.

I feel that the other thread we had about this not too long ago (started by Giovanni, I believe) was more informal/civil and had quite a bit of info on everything.
