I don't think they're restarting the whole series, I might be wrong though.They may have just been referring to the new complete 3D perspective.I'd be too optimistic to say it'll go in a more competitive direction, as well as being more DEEP.

I'm not entirely sure what happened in this comic...So, Pikachu started as an abused pokemon, it's master got the electric chair for abusing it, he got a new master that sent him out, and he became enlightened? Great comic though, even if I didn't understand what happened though.
