If the only thing they were doing was pulling ads, that's an indication that they are withdrawing support. Google isn't hiding anything. They aren't the sole search engine in the world. They have no control over any website actually removing or altering ANY of their content.

Google just happens to also run an extremely lazy way to make ad revenue. They don't want to see their name associated next to porn or depictions of content they find questionable. That is their right to choose how and where their company image is used.

It's simple -- don't use Google Adsense then. Oh wait -- they won't have any money to pay for the servers anymore then because faggots like you just want everything for free no matter what?
