think there's too much of an obsession on the concept of waifus. Many
people claim to have one, even if they're not really dedicated to them,
making it more of an anime crush. Others, live by the waifu dogma they
read on /a/ and force themselves to be as dedicated as possible to their
waifu in order to be able to say that it's their waifu. Which isn't
really true love either, because you're doing it for the concept of
having a waifu, not out of your love for her. I think people
should just follow their hearts a little more on this. It's irrelevant
whether or not she's your waifu, or whether you can justify calling her
that. What matters is whether you love her, not whether /a/ would
approve of your relationship. Good arguments can be put up for monogamy,
but you shouldn't practice it because someone on /a/ says you can only
have one waifu, you should practice it if you feel bad for your waifu
when looking at other girls. It's commonly expected of people to have
some figures of their waifu in their room, but don't buy them to fulfill
this expectation, buy them if it would make you happy to be able to see
your waifu in figure form every day. And so on. Don't forget what's
really important, guys.
