And that's my cool story bros

KB, 150x136, 1268860170358.gif ) Started on /m/, I was really
into mecha back then through and through, model kits, manga, anime the
whole run. After awhile that is to say IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEED I decided to take a
break from Mecha and particularly Gundam. So I found myself on /a/
seeing what else was new. I had dabbled in a wide variety of anime long
before I had come to /a/, but never attempted to discuss it with anyone. To
my surprise it was actually pretty mellow back then. I saw quite a bit
of actual discussion on the front and 1st, 2nd and 3rd pages. Needless
to say I was impressed. It wasn’t perfect but people seemed to give two
shits about making the board a community for animefans to come and
converse intelligently and I felt pretty comfortable discussing
whatever. I'd say trolling was about 7% of the discussion, but done very
well. In contrast most of the discussion now is 80% trolling but poorly
done nowadays. I checked out /co/ for a bit when I got back into
American Comics, but...it was a little gay over there, and then the
fetish shit started up, and...anyway I moved to /v/, and they didn't
seem to discuss all that much aside from console wars so I came back to
/a/, and I've sort of been cycling through /a/ /co/ and /v/ ever since. I'd
say the worst off right now is /v/, but then again they never really
did have any glory years. /a/ I feel has just fallen flat from apathy,
if any ever existed or are still here, the oldfags simply just do not
give two fucks anymore. It doesn't help that apparently /a/ and /v/ are
supposedly "invaded" by /b/ renegades...which would...explain the sudden
drop in organized and sophisticated behaviour...and from what I'm
seeing in this thread...it just might be true. Goddamn.
