The worst type of person is really the one that picks up all the fucking shit that is airing every season, completely disregarding anime that has already finished airing.

Everytime there's a Lain thread I'm reminded that I should rewatch this sometime.

I had actually stopped watching after episode 4 because absolutely nothing was happening, but then it picked up at episode 5.

Boogiepop is the definition of pretentious. The source material was mystery sci-fi; the TV anime was DEEP, PSYCHOLOGICAL FLUFF.
