The idea of romantic porn appealed to me rather than one guy fucking everybody. Went from that to Clannad, saw that Clannad had an anime, and got hooked. My friends at school had previously tried to get me to watch Trigun and FMA and it just never appealed to me that much. Guess they were just going with the wrong genre.
