They were the anime that the current generation of anime fans grew up on. If you are college age now, you probably watched Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop on TV when you were in middle school.

Also, of all the anime that we might have watched when we were kids, these are just plain really good ones, and not the kind of show you'd look back on and think "damn, I can't believe I thought that was awesome" like you do when you watch Dragonball Z.

But I like the depth that Vash had. You could really feel his pain towards the end.

Outlaw Stars the best, better main character than Vash has more and better space battles than Both of them, and has an awesome main gun (caster) that Bebop lacks, Outlaw Star was the best

Holy balls is the dub for Desert Punk complete ass. I don't mind most dubs, Trigun being one of the better ones... but amg, I deleted Desert Punk partially into the first episode. Too lazy to read subtitles, so meh. Nothing of value was lost.

Trigun is one of the few shows to actually freak me out a bit. The animation at times was really quite terrible sadly, but I like the rest of it. Though I thought the ending was kind of bullshit.
