It's going
to be Heroman.
Joey and Heroman reach the boss alien, but
countless lives have been sacrificed to get there. As they enter the
throne room Joey makes a pledge to himself that he will not let Psy's
death be in vain. They quickly engage in combat with the alien emperor
and the odds turn against them. He is more powerful than anything that
they have ever faced before, but that isn't going to stop Joey!
He
remembers people who have sacrificed their lives for his cause - like
Lina and Stan Lee - and those who are counting on him. The gadget he
uses to control Heroman acquires a new button, and after Joey pushes it
Heroman gets an incredible boost in power. They fight the alien emperor
once more and this time Heroman sacrifices himself to destroy it. He
uses the engine fueling his body to create an explosion that kills them
both.
After the explosion subsides, Joey runs to Heroman's corpse
in tears. He leans over him and wails "Psy is dead! Heroman is dead!
There are no heroes anymore!" but just as he finishes, Heroman's eyes
open once again and he speaks his first, and last, words. He says "Joey,
you are a hero." and passes on.
Then Joey was hero. |
