of
course, I get where you're coming from. I was never that obese, but I
was close to it for quite a while. Like the girl in the story, my family
had a tendency to overfeed so I was probably taking in far more
calories than I needed to be. It's fairly depressing to be even slightly
overweight in American society.
I was tired of being bummed out
about weight, so I started eating less (and for those wondering about
dropping to a 1000 calorie diet, it is entirely do-able and do-able
immediately, especially if a lot of physical activity is not involved),
walking around more, and ignoring snack foods. I never gave up eating
what I liked to eat, I just ate less of it. Dropped around 20 pound this
year (my first year of college) so I could fit in size 12 jeans, and I
can probably fit into 10 given a bit more time. 10 is my goal, I don't
intend to get much thinner than that. |
