The lack of Johnny in the movie was disturbing.

It was like three very average episodes from the series put together. However, I'll forgive it because I realize that it's mostly all about setting the elements at play.

It still had some funny and romantic moments, with a tiny bit of action... But hopefully the second movie will raise the stakes or I'll be very disappointed.

Almost downloaded it when it was released, but saw it was avi hardsubbed.

Later changed my mind and got it anyway to try playing from my PS3; it doesn't understand the video codec.

i found the movie slow, uninteresting and unimpressive.
they set all this shit up for the second movie which is great, woo the second movie is gunna rock etc.
BUT THEY DONT DO ANYTHING IN THIS ONE. GOD DAMN I FELT LIKE I WATCHED A 90 MINUTE INTRO.

The "Juiz is an AI" theory is reasonable. Yes, someone answering to Juiz showed up once in the series, she could be the original or she could just be acting on the AI's orders.

Or, it could just be one person managing it all.

Both possibilities are plausible, neither have been ruled out.
