03/25/10(Thu)01:36 No.32530146>>32529198 I don't
really read bleach, but I thought ichigo's motivation for going to
mexico was that it posed a threat to reality or something, and was
likely to destroy his town, that and they kidnapped his cheerleader.
The
thing with luffy is, he isn't really a good hero. His motivation is
ultimately at least somewhat selfish. And while his actions in defense
of his friends are somewhat heroic, it doesn't compare to others who
sacrifice a lot for people they don't even know.
Personally, i'd
like to see Isaac or Jacuzzi from Baccano up instead of a character
like Luffy. Isaac because, while a thief, he is a character that is
trustworthy, and actually tries to help everyone he meets, and Jacuzzi,
because he isn't a mindless shounen protagonist like luffy. While they
both fight to try and save their friends, Jacuzzi tries to avoid
violence whenever possible, and has a more interesting character, he
appears like a coward, but when he really needs to shows a remarkable
bravery in front of insane over the top odds.
Or someone like
Chirico Cuvie from Votoms, or Kyon, or Lain. I'd like to see some more
less stereotypical heroes on the list. Though Cuvie is a stereotypical
as is Lain to an extent, Kyon isn't. He doesn't go out and beat people
up or anything, but he endures a lot of shit to save the world from
Haruhi's indirect actions. I think that makes him a hero. |
