personally I liked ep one of Baccano. Especially now re-watching it and realizing exactly how it spoiled the whole series even more than I thought it did.

Well I marathoned Baccano! Durarara!! and Ookami Kakushi are the first anime I've been keeping up with weekly. I don't count Umineko because I read the VN, Haruhi 2009 because endless eight, and the third season of SZS because there wasn't a continuing plot and I dropped it.
But back to what I was saying, Baccano! had more of an impact because I watched every episode (sans OVA) in a row so interest was never lost.

Imo Durarara is too tame and nowhere near as overall creative Baccano is its a great story and all but Baccano is more a look at mental health issues taken to extremes compared to Durarara just taking regular personalities and puffing them up to make abnormal characters
