They're both great shows, by the way. I'm loving both; why we need to fight over which one is better seems really silly.

Brotherhood IS Original, guys. What came first? The manga. The manga gave Inspiration (albeit horrible) to the first series. The first series very loosely followed the manga, but took its own route for an alternate retelling. Brotherhood, however, was put more to the original plot, and uses more modern technology to give us a new look. Save for the SRS BZNZ and fight scenes, Brotherhood doesn't match up to the original, which kept its art consistent for the most part. Music is for opinions, so neither series is best overall. "Originalfags" as you call em enjoy the first series more because that's what they saw first. I was once in that position, but having watched and enjoyed both series, I can say in my OWN honest opinion that Brotherhood is more enjoyable.

There are, of course, things we don't like about both series. For example, the first series' main villain was a dumb bitch who looked like a priestess. Another annoying point was how fast paced it was, along with ROSE HAS A BABY WTF. As for Brotherhood, some people dislike the more recent characters, such as Donkey Kong and the fat black dude. Granted, they are merely lackeys who were reduced to comic relief, but they are a waste of time for the most part.

I mean, in what ways did you think it moved too quickly? Rose had a baby because she was raped by soldiers; of course it was supposed to be a surprise, it had been a year since Ed had seen her.

I for one thought the pace moved great in the first anime. Brotherhood is pretty breakneck for a bit; it's a little unsettling for 10 episodes or so.

Original Martel was more awesome than Brotherhood Martel, because she had more to do, got a decent fight scene with Kimblee, and even sacrificed her life to help forward the plot and reveal that Bradley was a homunculus.

Brotherhood Martel didn't last as long, but on the plus side, she was cuter than her original counterpart.
