you shouldn't post with a tripcode unless you believe your point is unique enough to the board that you want people to understand who you are based on your name alone.

This means that you fail to communicate your point in your post or want to build up a cred for yourself, nothing good comes from tripfags.

Hox is respected because he actually uses his trip for a purpose, which is to post scanlations and follow up with people who want to know what he's working on. I'd say he's probably the only tripfag I've seen on any board that actually matters, because he produces for the community.
