Those of you that have been to anime conventions probably have met vic before, at first glance he is a cool guy, he is funny, energetic, he will have sword fights with you and such, one problem though...HE IS A FUCKING CHRISTIAN! Why does he have to be so dam religious, he doesn't seem like the type! He would be such a cool guy if he wasn't, he can't seem to go 3 sentences without hinting he love's Jesus.

I'm a Christian and I don't guzzle it down in people's throats. He's an idiot.

Besides, that guy is a douchebag. He thinks of himself very highly thanks to his legion of fangirls.

Funny thing, trying to shove religion down people's throats never works, because the person just gets a really bad impression of it that way. I mean, you can influence a child more easily, but everyone has a logical brain. I mean I was like 13 when I stopped going to youth related 'Christian' things, and like 15 when I stopped going to Church entirely.

I've yet to be shown otherwise that anyone who calls themselves a 'Christian' is ridiculously arrogant and tries to alienate and isolate 'non-Christians' and anyone who doesn't behave like a crazy 'Jesus!!!!' type cultist.

Being brought up in a Christian family turned me into a 100% atheist. Same for my older brother too, and even my sister who is 16 now I can tell is going to Church less and less, and will reject it soon enough.

My parents are complete bigots and think poor people deserve to be poor and hate on homosexuals or anyone who implies that the world is millions of years old.

No, I'm just saying that we can only really know about material phenomenon, such as the grass under our feet or clouds in the sky, and as science advances our understanding of such material phenomenon will advance too.

Spiritual stuff, such as 'God', or an afterlife, is by definition a mystery, ie it can never be scientifically proven or understood, that's the point of it.

I'm just saying that I prefer things that can be proven, as opposed to things that can't.

False strength isn't really strength, it's just ignorance. I'm sure the Christian crusaders who slaughtered innocent people were pretty psychological self-assured in their belief, the same for Muslims blowing themselves up.

Atheism is a hard reality, true, anyone who can understand it and not feel a bit depressed is a strong person. But reality isn't a fantasy world like religious belief is.

    ie, truth>ignorance and self-delusion

Atheism is a religion. The acceptance of what can be scientifically proven is common sense. Also, since many religious texts, specifically Christian, have older and more numerous manuscripts that fall closer to the date of the supposed events than the writing that is considered history by the world, the events in the Bible are statistically more likely to have happened than current historical fact. The earliest complete manuscript of Tacitus' "Annals of Rome" dates to 850 C.E. That is about 740 years after the latest events recorded in it, and there are 2 surviving manuscripts that are exact replicas of each other. The earliest complete manuscript of the New Testament dates back to 280 years after the events in it. There are 5,664 surviving complete manuscripts today.

Either way, I don't care what people believe as long as they don't drag me into it.

They were rarely as openly violent though. Rap culture is about violence, rap culture presupposes the reason for the black community's problems is whites. Black people by and large think that the reason they are poor is because an invisible white entity has made them poor and is keeping them poor. This invisible, omnipotent entity plays a role in every aspect of their daily lives for downtrodden blacks.

Take a look at your own Senate's voting records. The black senators all vote along racial lines, it's only white liberals who believe in a "lets all join hands and be happy" society.

I believe in Polybius' theory of stable mixed Government. I've never believed in complete freedom or democracy. Leaders should be allowed to lie for the public good.

Remember Aristotle's words to the Athenians during the Lamian uprising when they wanted to put him on trial:
