The original 8 had there digivices broken at the end of S1 taking down the Seven Great Demon Lords, this changes mid-season when Koushiro creates something half way between a D-3 and an original digivice for the old kids.

Ryo plays an important part in driving peoples character development.

No more Jogress, the evolution lines are
Hawkmon->Aquilamon->Silphymon->Valkyrimon
Armadimon->Ankylomon->Shakkoumon->Vikemon(Under Revision)
Veemon->Veedramon->Aero Veedramon->Ulforce Veedramon
Wormon->Stingmon->Dinobeemon->Imperialdramon

Takeru is the original leader for the first 10ish episodes, however when confronted by a revived Devimon he acts irrationally and almost gets the kids killed until Daisuke takes control. since this isn't the first time Daisuke has taken control and Takeru is realizing his faults as a leader he lets Daisuke become team leader.

The Dark Ocean and Demon are being expanded upon.

Like Tamers, Mega is only unlockable through Chosen Child and Digimon becoming one.

Ken is rather respectful to Daisuke even under the Kaiser mask because Daisuke reminds him a lot like Ryo (He treats him more like a worthy adversary or a rival) however he will treat everyone else like maggots ESPECIALLY the older chosen children.

The World Tour arc is being cut in favor of a Digimon World Tour arc for the 4 new chosen (Ken, Daisuke, Miyako and Iori) in short it's those 4 galavanting around the Digital World to grow as a group and clean up the mess.

And by mess we mean the digimon mafia and cultists.

The 6 of the original chosen children (who could originally reach mega) can not reach there former Mega levels (which is good because we have a problem with Vikemon then)

Digimon Adventures Changes
-When Taichi returns from the human world after defeating Etemon he is dressed in his V-Tamer clothes
-The Digivice is upgraded by Gennie to be the V-Tamer Digivice to involve the Chosen Children more
-Like in Tamers, evolving is not the be all, end all answer to the monster of the week
-Angemon is not the once every ten episodes wonder he originally was, he fights normally along side the other Adult level Digimon
-Etemon tends to forget he's the bad guy, throwing parties if the Chosen Children kill one of his minions, even teaming up with them to defeat one of Vamdemons soldiers. Deep down he just wants to put on a rock concert for the human world and doesn't really care about ruling anything.
-Metal Etemon isn't killed by Saber Leomon and Zudomon, rather he is defeated by Zudomon and then killed from behind by Pinnochimon.
-A running gag in which Gennai tells the Chosen Children that X wasn't the true enemy and someone responds with "No shit, didn't see that one coming" brought to extremes when he contacts them while the Seven Demons are rising and all 8 Chosen Children shout "We get it!"
-Lilimon will not spend her debut episode beating up an Adult level digimon she couldn't take as an Adult and then subsequently get bitch slapped by Vamdemon
-When Piemon has the Chosen Children cornered he begins to gloat about how he will kill them stopping abruptly to ask "Wait why do I only count 7?" right after that Rosemon blasts him off a cliff.

-Vikemon kills Leviamon when Leviamon goes to eat it, holding it's jaws open and freezing his insides before throwing his maces down Leviamon's throat.
-Hercules Kabuterimon kills Barbamon by simultaneously tearing his limbs off and cutting his head off with his vice
-Metal Garurumon kills Belphemon by freezing it's legs so it can't move then firing missiles down it's throat
-Rosemon kills Beelzebumon when she ties him up with her whip and then shoots him execution style with his own gun
-Ophanimon kills Lilithmon by forcing her to touch herself with her decaying hand
-Seraphimon kills Daemon by firing his seven stars attack over and over until there is nothing left
-Wargreymon kills Lucemon with aid from Phoenixmon by being set on fire and cutting him in half from head to toe, then immolating the remains with a Gaia force from the fire Phoenixmon and himself has.
-The Digivices are broken at the end of the season, No one seems to bothered
-The crests are burned into the chosen childrens body after the physical form was broken destroying Lucemon: Satan Mode's 7 barriers.
-Taichi's Crest of Courage is burned into the back of his hand, he constantly wears gloves

During the Digital World Tour arc, the new Chosen reach mega level, basically all there situations are 'do it or die'

Daisuke- is stabbed, shot with a tommy gun and exploded (along side Aero-Veedramon) they evolve together into Ulforce Veedramon.

Iori- him and Shakkoumon get into a fun game of pressure with Giga Seadramon. Shakkoumon and Iori evolve to Vikemon and begin to beat the ever loving crap out of him with maces.

Miyako- Silphymon gets his arms torn off, Miyako is experiencing all the pain due to Lampmons magic. both evolve to Valkyriemon and cut the bastard up

Ken- has half of his body destroyed protecting a baby digimon from Breakdramon. evolves to Imperialdramon and Stoner Sunshines the fuck out of it.

question, how would you explain away armor evolution? I mean it can just be phased out but maybe making it unaccessable is better

Taichi never wasted a movement, if his digimon swung a fist it all built up to a big plan.
Ryo was the opposite, a lot of wasted actions with a lot of power behind them. Ryo always had strength in numbers however and often overwhelming power.
Daisuke is neither of them, he exerts raw power and charisma and can make an army loyal to him in a short time. He would go through hell and back for even the most insignificant friend, and he's the only one who's digivice makes a loud bang when it activates.

How will the Seven Lord's crests fall into this?

Each of the Chosen Children face down the demon lord who's crest is closest to them. in other words the sin that they have to over come.

Courage and Pride are close and both are represented by the sun, Taichi must face Lucemon. He's aided by Sora because honestly she has no match in this fight and part of the explanation is that Love can deter pride.

Koushiro has to admit that a desire to know more can evolve into greed if he's not careful, Barbamon is the demon that represents greed.

Yamato may represent friendship but if he slacks off and doesn't work on keeping those bonds they will just break apart. Consider when the group wanted to continue the search for Taichi and when he took over he chose to stop since they had 'Done enough' Also since Belphemon is in his Rage mode he represents Yamato's own inner rage.

Lilithmon and Demon respectively are fallen Ophanimon and Seraphimon, honestly Sora fits the crest of Lust better (What often pretends to be Love) but Hikari fits the fight better. Demon represents Wrath and that's something Takeru has to battle daily even as he grows older. His desire to kill evil can evolve into wrath

Leviamon is Envy where as Jyou is Sincerity. Being sincere means admitting your faults and not being jealous about them. For example bottling up your feelings that you are the responsible one and then feeling jealous about the team leader.

Also there both deep savers so the fight works.

Now Mimi and Beelzebumon takes a while to get, her crest is purity and his is gluttony. Now really any sin would be bad for purity but Gluttony and Greed are ones Mimi have done before and because Greed fits Koushiro much better she gets the pig.

Remember her princess schtick with the Otamon and Geckomon? well it's like that. She has indulged in gluttony before, it's one of the things she truly had to break free from.

In the end the Crest Data made the Seven Demon Lords much stronger than they should have been, after all Lucemon is an ultimate and it took 2 Mega digimon to kill him, and even then he survived long enough to evolve, take out the 8 chosen children and they had to bring Omegamon out to kill him.

Colleen O'Shaughnessey (English Sora): I agree that there was a romantic interest in Tai and I was surprised that she wound up dating Matt. Maybe she was trying to make Tai jealous. I guess you'd have to consult the writers on that one. It's a pretty typical scenario, though. So many shows make you wait for the romantic payoff you're hoping for. Sexual tension makes things interesting.

Besides making Taiora happen , I always had an idea to have the story focus on Tai's son as leader of the new digidestined , and the kids would have the X antibody versions of their parent's digimon.

Koushiro helps engineer it a bit, he's Taichi and Sora's closest friend and he's more observant about how they feel than they are. It's little things at first like pairing them up for training or patrol but he does egg it on.

Beyond that Yamato and Sora are AWARE of how Taichi feels, so Yamato does feel a weight on his shoulders for disregarding the feelings of who he considered his best friend (He states later that if had been any other guy, he would have fought for her. Note that this just means in the relationship no one is being denied Taichi vs Yamato 2)

Finally it just becomes... APPARENT to even Taichi, like during the Dark Ocean arc where one of the things meant to break him mentally was a wedding scene between Sora and Yamato that he couldn't go to, the feelings of being totally and completely alone. and his Physical task was to defeat Black Metal Garurumon (Normal Metal Garurumon)

Explaining this before people jump me, I think Takato goes well with Juri and Ruki. I think if Digimon returned he would fall for Ruki (She represents that side of him) if they didn't he would continue with Juri.

I came. I don't even like this couple, but I'll admit that is hot.

So yeah for the Digital World Tour arc the original 8 are watching there progress on a computer monitor (it's school break) they have been doing alright for themselves and there going to go in, kick Astamon's ass (as far as they are concerned he's just another ultimate) and hopefully find an exit.

Now the plans simple enough, Shakkomon and Silphymon cause a distraction on the ground, then Dinobeemon and Aero Veedramon fly in and murder Astamon.

Plans working just fine until they get to Astamon and his reaction to this plan is to throw a knife, while still on the ground, right into Daisuke's chest, he follows this up by leaping into the fucking air and punching holes in Aero Veedramons wings with more knives before pointing his gun at the back of his head. Daisuke yanks the knife out of his chest and stabs it into Astamon's back who reacts by grabbing him by the throat, throwing him to the earth below while shooting him with his gun.

Now Daisuke hits the ground, probably breaks every bone in his body has ribs poking out and is rapidly dying while Astamon fires a spray into Aero Veedramon who collapses nearby.

Miyako and Iori are going nuts just trying to get him and Ken can't get close enough cause of Astamon.

In the real world Takeru is threatening to break shit if they don't open a portal right now for him to go and back them up. But Taichi says that Daisuke knew the risks and took them. it takes Takeru mentioning Ryo for Taichi to concede.

Before that happens the area blows up and the next thing we see is a mangled bloody and obviously should be very dead daisuke standing on legs that should no function looking at Astamon, his D-3 shines brightly as his body begins to break down into data flowing into the digivice that flys into Aero-Veedramon who begins to shake violently.

And then Daisuke as Ulforce Veedramon kicks the ever loving crap out of Astamon.

I would be interested in the actual handling of a Dark Ocean arc, especially if half of it is portrayed as Dagomon basically toying with all the Chosen Children.
