Last night near the end of the last thread we speculated what they should be doing, I pitched remaking Adventures and 02, with the Seven Demons replacing the Dark Masters as the final villains (Dark Masters are still there though) and in S2 the 'world wide' chosen children being chucked out, Marshmalo Myotismon being chucked out, and Dagomon and Demon Super Ultimate being the main villains.

War Greymon vs. Lucemon (Courage is represented by the Sun, also Pride)
H-Kabuterimon vs. Barbamon (Intelligence and inquisition can lead to greed)
Metal Garurumon vs Belphemon Rage Mode ( Yamato's Rage lead to his breaking the group apart, he shows a slothful nature when he doesn't want to continue the search for Taichi because 'we've searched enough')
Seraphimon vs Daemon (I have to explain why an Angel should fight Satan?)
Vikemon vs Leviamon (Jyou being sincere means overcoming envy, besides there both Deep Savers)
Ophanimon vs Lilithmon (Lilithmon is a fallen Ophanimon seriously it writes itself)
Rosemon vs Beelzebumon (Mimi is supposed to be pure, Gluttony is a pretty unpure sin)

Now admittedly Hikari should be the one left out but Sora is the one who really has no match, so either she should fight along side someone (Taichi... he is fighting fucking LUCEMON!) or Omegamon can fight Lucemon and she can take Yamato's fight. But Omegamon is planned as the 11th hour super power

To top this off, after defeating all the Demon Lords Lucemon laughs and absorbs the Crest Data from the other Demon lords reducing them to Child form and heads for the barrier between the worlds to break it completely, The Chosen Children persue him and break one of the seals protecting him by giving up there own crest (And subsequently being beaten down) However even with all the protection gone they can't defeat Lucemon: Satan Mode. Taichi and Yamato have had there digivices broken, with no other options they force a fusion between themselves and there digimon, and then force a fusion between War Greymon and Metal Garurumon to create Omnimon. They charge towards Lucemon as one by one the other Chosen Children take attacks meant for them just to give them the chance they needs, they break right through the core and face the Larva form driving the Grey Sword into it's body as the forced evolution breaks and they collapses onto a passing Phoenixmon.

Taichi eventually wakes up saying that if they ever attempted something like that again they might not come back. While the chosen children are defeated and no longer have the strength the fight so to have there enemies the seven great demon lords. the barrier between the world strengthens as exhausted but satisfied the children travel home, there crests gone, there digivices broken, but they are successful.

A tiny stinger however, As they each go there separate ways Taichi stops Sora for a second and asks if she has it too, she feigns ignorance until he pulls of the glove of his right hand showing the crest of courage burned into the back of it.

Turns out the kids may be needed again one day...

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the art style, which is a widely mentioned criticism. It looses the classic Digimon art style for a generic one.
