I grew to like the characters over the course of the series. Even though I honestly thought that Yuuki's death dragged on too long and could have been done better, I cried like a bitch. I think it might have been as good if not a little better with a different end, but as it is, I liked it.

I figured out Yuuki was dead after Mari stopped talking to him, so it wasn't so much that part. I'm a sucker for the "pictures through his life" thing, and that did me in so badly. And the breaking the news to the parents part.

It's like Grave of the Fireflies in that sense. Except with not as much of a moral.

First half: awesome.
