Another problem I think a lot of people on /a/ have is that many people get totally wrapped up in a single hobby and don't do much else. This is why people here wonder 'how do you answer when people ask you about your interests?' If you're having trouble answering this question you need to pick up new hobbies and broaden your interests - even if you think 'I can't think of anything else that really interests me', trying all kinds of stuff works, you will find new things you like to do.

I've actually met a couple of people from (and even through) /a/, and 2/3 were not cool, because they had some kind of pre-existing personality disorder (like serious brain chemical imbalances), and one was of the opposite gender and quite alluring, but relations have stalled for some odd reasons. I agree with you throughly OP, but I actually keep my intrests to Anime and Manga. Granted yes, I do play a good amount of WoW, but that's for some half-assed social shit that doesn't do me much good. I find it more than people in today's society aren't compelled to be passionate about anything, even hobbies. I play games for weeks, but my friends don't get nearly into it as me, nor nearly as good. It's a damn shame people can't try to edge towards truly having a hobby.

Sooo, baking. Shit's not hard to learn, is it? I just want something sweet and tasty and non fluffy.

Is it never to late to learn how to bike? Nobody ever taught me how..

Biking is easy to learn late in life. However, for someone like me, swimming is damn near impossible when you freak the fuck out for fear of drowning.

Neither is hard - people have made bread for thousands of years (ground up wheat + water + time + heat = food), and the more modern baked goods are simple chemistry projects, and biking has gone on for more than a century, you too can learn to balance on two wheels.
