I wear anime shirts sometimes in public. I have like 5 shirts. ( Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, GITS) Just the other day, I was in the store and the cashier looked at me for a few seconds then said "I like you shirt. That's a good series." I was like "Thanks..." I happened to be wearing my FLCL shirt.

The only person I've ever known who wore anime clothes was the extremely thin and pale guy at my middle school, who had a black Bebop shirt that was way too big for him. And a computer science high school teacher (his whole classroom was covered in those giant wallscroll things) who would wear "traditional" Japanese/Asian costumes. He was white.

If they made sweatshirts like this, I'd wear one.

Other than that, I used to be -that guy- who wore dbz shirts out in public, back when they started dubbing it again.

OP, Logo's and names or text is one thing. But generic animu mush plastered onto cheap ass [usualy home made wapanese craptasticness] t-shirts si another. This is hwere some peoples rage comes from.

Really, the only remotely acceptable animu shirts are the ones with emblems. No characters, no series name, no Japanese, no resized poster reprinted on a shirt. A small motto is okay if it warrants it (as in OP post).
