I liked Dorohedoro even more when I found out that Q. Hayashida is a woman. The fact that a woman can draw something so creative and crazy is fucking awesome.

However, for a long while she either didn't list her gender or pretended she was a man. It was a surprise when IKKI people actually confirmed that she is female.

Thanks to you guys' last thread about the volume releases, I read of of Dorohedoro two nights ago, and shit was awesome.

There were definitely some echoes of early Nihei in the way some of the people were drawn. Even in volume 11, people still looked like late 80 early 90's style grimdark characters. I expect the art to go through a massive change, but it wasn't that bad. I tried reading this like 3 years ago, but I found the art in the first 2 volumes that were on #lurk to be really disgusting. Now i'm more cultured.

Surprisingly, I'm not angry that characters won't stay dead, or that the story is shown from literally all points at the same time. It's so refreshing to see a story that is actually told from a neutral perspective, with everyone being humanized and no binary morals, like most grimdark shit (Blue heaven, blame, among select few)

All in all, good taste /a/. Excellent manga. This and Liar Game are the only 2 good manga i read this summer.

Are there any raws hanging around? I checked the usual places except for winry/share i didn't find any.

Yukiru Sugisaki ia another weird one. DNAngel is supposedly shojo with, take note:

-Male main character
-Male main character who gets together with his girlfriend in THE THIRD VOLUME.
-Other male main character with whom he has an "annoying buddies" relationship, and who also happens to be a horny jackass.
-Only one ambiguously gay guy who's more of the "socially inept never had a friend before" type.
-At least two or three more heterosexual couples glossed over that do NOT cause DORAMA with the main character's relationship.
-Good/Annoying friend of the protagonist who cracks the occasional penis joke. Briefly involved in one of the aforementioned relationships.
