Its much better than the first series in many ways. Scar got more development, you got the asianfags running around being awesome and mysterious, and the story is actually good.

I can't really say the animation is too much better except for the latest episodes, but at least the Homunculus are much more villainous.

If I read the manga I probably wouldn't enjoy Bro as much though, as I didn't know about most of this shit. The show is actually more engaging now, though I kind of feel like Ed kind of seems extremely melodramatic at times.

Brotherhood Ed is nowhere near as melodramatic as previous FMA Edward

I feel relieved that it has no connection to the real world. Feels more like how the story should have been.

Well, some of it has been fabricated for the anime, for whatever reason. Like the egregious scene of Ed running away from Maria so he could freak out about Hughes's death.

Question: In the recent episode, Mustang used blood to draw the circle on his right hand and the lighter that Havoc had to dispose of Lust.

But wasn't the lighter unusable after the explosion the first time? I thought this was proven when Havoc couldn't light his cigarette before getting pierced by Lust.

I'm not accusing any BS, I just think I missed something there...
