Has ANYONE here seen this? Kinda old, very jumpy storyline, but I enjoyed it. Nothing like I expected from the art style and opening animation. First ten minutes seemed like a random schoolgirl comedy like I thought. But then the screaming and crying and dismemberment started...

I remember the OVA or whatever it was. Freaked me the hell out at times due to the contrast of the drawing styles and the scenes in question. Isn't there a manga of this?

Yup. Three books and a sequel called Emulators. Got the boxset for $17, Emulators was about $20.Still didn't make much sense, but helped a bit.
Yeah, this series was rather unsettling, the frog hats themselves being chiefly to blame. I mean, the angry noises they made were terrifying.
Unfortunately have no more pics right now, must find the DVD. If there are more cheap boxsets, I might buy one to cut up and scan, as CPM no longer exists. Haven't seen scans past chapter one anywhere, same with the DVD.
I once saw it in an AMV and decided to download the OAV; turns out it was worth it. I probably should read the manga, since the anime wasn't really satisfying.
I watched it, but it has no real ending, liked it tough... sauce to manga?
The millions Kasumi heads creeped me out at 4am. Oddly, though she came out nude in the OVA, she was clothed in the manga. Also, beach half-episode was like one page.
