    I know why anon hates Shizune. You hate her because she's just like you.
    Think about it: Shizune is a girl who, despite having very strong opinions and beliefs, is all too easy to ignore under normal circumstances. She believes the world should work a certain way, but lacks the ability to have people take her seriously without help. She needs people, but she doesn't want to need them, and her uncompromising views often lead her to be reviled, avoided, disliked. Combined with a slightly caustic, antisocial demeanor and a cruel sense of humor, it makes it so that very few people actually "get" her, and instead prefer to simply avoid her. The problem is, she secretly wants people close to her, she's just unwilling to change to make friends. Why do you think she tries so hard to keep you around once you show an interest? Because she's lonely, and she thinks that maybe, just maybe, she's found another kindred spirit.
    Anybody who hates Shizune, therefore, only feels that way because they see in her their own flaws reflected. You see the worst parts of yourself, but refined, crystallized, weaknesses turned into strength. Shizune is like you, but she did what you never could; she persevered, she overcame her disabilities (physical and otherwise) through sheer dedication. You envy that, but at the same time you can't stand to be around someone that reminds you so much of yourself.

    The first time through, I didn't like Shizune. She came across as pushy and really just needed to chill the fuck out. But, when I got around to actually doing her route, I found that she really wasn't all that bad. In fact, she's one of the better choices.

    Still not as good as Hanako, though.

    I think it's safe to assume Misha will play a fairly important role in Shizune's path, so we can probably count on plenty of Misha in the full game.
