    Let's discuss power levels, /a/.

Would you wear anime-related clothing or accessories in public? Why or why not?
    >> Anonymous 05/07/09(Thu)00:14 No.21061956
No because I am not a faggot.

I was at the movie theater once, wearing a Cowboy Bebop shirt with Spike on it. A really hot girl walked by and said "Fuck yes, Cowboy Bebop!" I am not trolling. I should have talked to her. I should have said something.

    within reason yes, simple semi-obscure

No. T-shirts with anime shit on them generally look bad.

No. I rage silently everytime I see a person walk by with a death note shirt.

If I were to wear an anime shirt in public, it'd have to be something obscure, and it'd have to be a symbol or something, nothing with a character on it.

    >> Anonymous 05/07/09(Thu)00:20 No.21062094
So long as it's somewhat obscure and it doesn't make me look like a douche bag, sure. All I have at the moment is a FLCL shirt, and I've only gotten four or so comments about that in something like a year.

Funny thing about Hot Topic, anything worth buying is usually in the clearance rack. Anything that costs more than ten dollars is almost always not worth wasting money on.

I don't know why I enjoy going in there, some kind of masochism thing.

Also, tenmootexicanbux says someone made her wear that shirt.

Depending on how the rest of your attire is you can actually pull off SOME anime shirts these days. Colors are in style at the moment, and most anime shirts are vivid and full of them, but if you're 300 pounds with a neck beard and rock it out with blue sweatpants and pay less running shoes you're going to look like an asshole. It just depends.

In high school I used to do basic computer repair for people at my school to earn extra money. Even though I was a loser, I was pretty good and one time a senior on the varsity soccer team had me work on his laptop. I was going through his files and realized he had almost twenty moe-blob anime series downloaded to his computer. I nearly shat my pants with shock. I couldn't look him in the face the rest of the year without thinking of him watching Kanon alone in his room.

The only anime related thing I've worn out into the real world is one of the Eureka 7 shirts tat came with the dvds, and that's because it was just a cool looking shift with a design on it that wasn't a giant eyed cartoon character, and it surprisingly didn't have EUREKA 7 BY BANDAI ENT. plastered on it somewhere like mother of the others did.

You people who are too scared to reveal your "power level" are thinking way too hard about this. Notice how those fashionable people in magazines always seem to be wearing clothes that you are way too insecure to wear? Just don't wear your anime or vidya game shirts with blue jeans from the grocery store that aren't fitted properly and look as if you've taken a dump in them, and wear some chucks if you're poor and chances are you'll be complimented on wearing a "creative and daring" shirt. Those "subtle symbol" shirts you guys hide behind are way worse than just going all out.

They never let me leave the house in something that was out of style, or wasn't fitted correctly, was so annoying as a kid but I'm thankful now. I can wear my anime clothing with pride, if someone asks I make it seem so cool that all they can do is agree with me. However if you pull a "Oh thi- this is uh L L Lucky Star *voice crack* uhm my laundry wasn't finished and it's my brothers" you're going to get laughed at. As a thumb of rule, I never wear anything that someone might recognize. Obscure band shirt design might just as well be some random design, so i fly under the radar.

I don't want to talk about my apparel, but I wear it to feel home in what I wear, that's why I wear it. Alas, I'd wear an extremely obscure anime reference shirt. Flashy fashionable bullshit is a no no no.

Pic related, what I'm wearing right now. A cookie to whoever guesses the band.

OP's shirt is cool as FUCK. So is that other Canti one other guy posted.

But yeah. If it's well designed and not shitty, I'd wear it.

Oh, and other guy with the Gurren Lagann shirt. That shirt is gay, because the logo should be on your back. Only then is it acceptable.

I've considered taking a red hoodie of mine and stenciling the King Crimson face on the back.

Thats pretty neat. So is the picture actually glossy on the mouse plastic then? Or screened on top? They should offer that service to everyone if they don't.

Anyone have an anime/manga related custom credit card from Capital One?
