    I thought anime was supposed to be more mature and grown up but only people who think Twilight and Harry Potter are DEEP would believe that. It's just as childish as Mickey Mouse.

    Being an anime enthusiast myself, I highly disagree with this statement.

    First and foremost, ANIME is not CARTOONS. There is a huge genre of anime out there which caters to a wide variety of audiences, even hentai.(childish or adultish?)

    So anyone who thinks anime is childish please watch a few best selling anime before making such a statement.

    But of course do so moderately. As long as it does not affect your daily responsibilities this is a hobby worth investing. Otakus in Japan are those hard core which cannot be afforded by normal people in reality.
