I have this sitting on my hdd, should I watch it?

Observation takes priority above all, never stop observing. Practicing aimlessly gets you nowhere if you can't find the flaws in your drawings and try to correct them. And as a beginner it's a good method to find a few artist with a style you like and imitate it, just don't worry about developing your own style yet, it'll come naturally as you step away from requiring references when drawing.
