    Dear /a/,

    I think it's time we petitioned to get mangas considered comic books.

    I know, I know, you all want to rage, but hear me out.

    The better portion of the fandom for most mangas are, in reallity, a bunch of 15 year old kids, looking for the next coolest thing. If we can make manga and comics mean the same thing in their minds, we can sneak in works with a higher calibur of storytelling, such as Watchmen that deal with a more mature view of the world than maybe we can get either

    A better, deeper anime community that is less fucking rediculous

    or

    A stronger, more diversified comic book culture.

    Come on, guys. We can't lose, and frankly don't have that much to lose anymore, anyway. /a/ is love, let's spread the love.

    Manga is Manga, it's success, it's doujin, the products associated with it and the stream of animation that it generates is specific to manga. Manga was born from the Western Pulp industry, but didn't suffer the same fate and turned into something far greater.
