I’ve been currently working on a few HD Textures for SA2 and here’s my favourite one I made so far! Background not the exact same but if the original one gets found I’ll update it!

Just need to find a way to add the wrinkles (since idk how lol) and the arrow
Along with moving the text around

there's definitely shading on the eyes, and thicker shading on the muzzle (including the nose area)

I added a bit of shading around the top of the eyes and prob gonna do the nose next
and clean it up somemore

I don't do them unless I can find the actual font used. Because of that I was never able to complete the list of them. I still have the file for this decal and I've always wanted to make a window sticker out of it for the back of my car.

Vecster is actually the name of one of the Art devs for the game. He used to have a website called Vecster.com where he kept his portfolio. The site isn't up anymore but I might be able to find it on wayback.

I'm actually doing the same thing for SA1 too lol
And yeah, it's more fun to do for Sonic instead of Mario for me, Sonic textures are heavily edited and that's why I like it
SM64 textures are barely edited

Not really, I'm using source textures for these, but I could check that out if any of these is never found
Most of the time I do manual upscaling, because, idk, I like doing that too lol

I usually prefer to do but with the right models selected you can get some really good results. A lot of the times people don't run their textures through a model that gets rid of compression/dithering so you get really bad looking results.

I actually did the manual with cobblestone for example, not that big deal and still a bit bad I would say, but at least is decent for the most part (left is upscaled)

Really appreciate! Tho, I would say, is more of actually putting extra layers on top of it and playing with opacity and blending modes, I would say is decent for the most part and easy to do!
A good alternative if you don't want to have a headache in some textures lol, specially stone and that kind of stuff
But really, the car is great, so clean

Ah ok, might be similar to what I used to do for asphalt textures

Lol, actually, I should considering using some upscaler and do just a few manual tweaks from there
I think is a good idea to combine both

they're really useful if you're dealing with textures that are heavily compressed. Gamecubes CMPR format especially wrecks small textures

was working on windy valley act 3 sky at some point too, didnt get super far though because theres some parts used to cover up the seam i couldn't quite get right
with the original on top for comparison

Oh yeah, looks different but not by a whole lot I would say, what I do for the most part is to have not a perfect match in all the parts, but for the most part, and then, get back later on in that one and finally finish it, because, if not, it makes really boring for me to have been working in the same thing for too long lol

like one page for everything in emerald coast etc

yeah, rn the best way to navigate it is by source disc, because its easier for me to keep track of what i have and havent added that way
but most ppl who would want to use the wiki would likely prefer looking for areas & topics & such, so that's the plan
