The Expansion Pak

Now, you may be saying to yourself, "but this is a StepMania theme, how in the world can it use an Expansion Pak?" In this case, our magic bullet/Expansion Pak is sm-ssc, which is a version of StepMania 4 tailored to themers. It includes many features that NCRX has abused and pioneered, such as the stops meter seen in the default sm-ssc theme. NCRX's stop meter works with Pump Delays as well, since those are supported in sm-ssc. This is just one example of what you gain with the "Expansion Pak" of sm-ssc.

Background

Since the dawn of StepMania, our community has been watched. The reasons for this differ from group to group: some merely wish to join the community but don't want to risk getting yelled at, sparking riots. The motives of others are less benign.

One of the sects in StepMania are the themers. Back in the early 2000s, many people produced themes. However, as the years went by, theme output slowed down, leading to fewer and fewer people making themes. NAKET Coder, leader of the elite NAKET Team, suspects that the rapid spread of anti-StepMania 4 propaganda is in large part to blame, among other factors.

Whether or not his suspicions are justified, it is clear that events are rushing to a head. With the spinal shark collective launching sm-ssc as a way to combat the anti-propaganda and a declaration of war, it was in NAKET Coder's best interest to align with them. Someone amongst the stars desperately wants to tell us what they believe the future of StepMania and StepMania theming is, and NAKET Coder suspects that the grand plan penetrates far deeper than derivative forks of StepMania. Using all means available, the SSC and NAKET Team has resolved to find out exactly what's going on before it's too late.

Only recently has it been offered its first real lead into the conspiracy: a group of the anti-StepMania 4 propaganda spreaders want to make a "StepMania 5.0".

And so the arms race begins. On our side, we have sm-ssc and NAKET Coder Revolution X.
Oh yes, the revolution will be televised.

Controls

Every gametype in StepMania is forced to have menu controls:

Typically, these map to the arrow keys for player 1. Enter serves as start.

In order to configure your settings, head to Options -> Key/Joy Input.

Getting Started

After the intro, you'll see the title menu, which has four options.

All the music in this theme is from Perfect Dark; it's the best game. The music may not survive in later versions but it would require an entire rescore then.

Important

game piracy is hilarious because game makers will take away the freedom of the players so they kind of deserve it. Take Borderlands on PC for example. I can't make fun guns in a game I only play locally anyways. gg next disappointment

Warranty and Service Information

There is no warranty. It's a StepMania theme. I'm not responsible if you're not smart enough to realize it only works on StepMania 4 alphas and sm-ssc. Trying to use this theme on the wrong version voids all support privs.
