:::::::::::::::::::::::BPM DETECTOR LIGHT (DEMO) INSTALLATION:::::::::::::::::::::::

Once you have downloaded "BPMdetectorlight.zip", create a new folder* anywhere you can easily remember the location (We recommend creating the new folder in the "Program Files" folder located on your C:/ drive) and extract ALL** the files from the zip file into the new folder.

To launch BPM DETECTOR LIGHT, simply click on BPMDETECTORLIGHT.exe.

You can also easily create a shortcut to BPMDETECTORLIGHT.exe, by clicking the right button of your mouse while your mouse cursor is located on BPMDETECTORLIGHT.exe, scroll down to "Create Shortcut" and click on it. You will now see an icon called "Shortcut to BPMDETECTORLIGHT.exe", place your mouse cursor over it and then push the left or right button of your mouse on it keeping it pressed, and drag anywhere you want the shortcut to be and depress when you have found the right spot, e.g.: you can put it on your desktop.

* To create a new folder, click the right button of your mouse, scroll down to "New" and then choose "Folder", and click on it. It is a good idea to rename the "New Folder" to "BPM DETECTOR LIGHT", to do so, click the right button of your mouse, scroll down to "Rename" and enter BPM DETECTOR LIGHT in the box which will replace "New Folder".

** Do not omit to put "akrip.dll" (Which is in the zip file) in the new folder you have created, if not BPM DETECTOR LIGHT will not work and show an error message.

::::::::::::::::::::::::REGISTERING YOUR COPY OF BPM DETECTOR PRO::::::::::::::::::::::::

BPM DETECTOR LIGHT is only a demo version with very limited functionality, to get the full power of this software, you must order the full version (BPM DETECTOR PRO) from our website. Once you have placed an order for the full version, simply delete the folder where you have installed BPM DETECTOR LIGHT and any of the shortcut you might have created as you need to re-download the full version at the time of purchase from our website.

::::::::::::::::::::::CDDA & CDA OPERATION AND ASPI DRIVER CHECK:::::::::::::::::::::::::

Even though you cannot use the detection of music CD with BPM DETECTOR LIGHT, you can still check if your ASPI driver is correctly installed and working properly before purchasing the BPM DETECTOR PRO version. The ASPI driver will enable you to select the CD source where you will place the music CD.

If you find your CD drive or DVD drive in the drop down list located in BPM DETECTOR LIGHT, then your ASPI driver is correctly installed, you do not have to worry about this chapter, you can proceed to order the full version and enjoy its power.

In order for BPM DETECTOR PRO to work correctly on CDDA & CDA disc (Music CD), you must have a ASPI driver installed, not only installed but correctly installed, if not you will simply not find your CD drive or DVD drive in the drop down list located in BPM DETECTOR PRO. Most of the time this driver is already installed on your PC, but if you cannot see your CD drive or DVD drive in the drop down list located in BPM DETECTOR LIGHT, then it means, it is either not present on your PC or not correctly installed, thus you will not be able to see it either on BPM DETECTOR PRO if you decide to purchase it.

There are two ASPI drivers available, the ADAPTEC driver and the NERO driver, you only need one of these two, and we found that the NERO driver was the best one, and we recommend choosing this one by default, if no ASPI driver is installed on your PC

These ASPI drivers are third parties drivers, by using these drivers you are subject to the terms and conditions established by these third parties, we cannot be held responsible for any problems arising from these drivers or any misuse of their terms and conditions.

ADAPTEC DRIVER

You can get the latest driver here (Please follow installation instructions carefully):

http://adaptec.com/worldwide/support/drivers_by_product.jsp?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=%2FProduct%2FASPI-4.70&prodkey=ASPI-4.70

NOTE: The ADAPTEC checker utility supplied with the ADAPTEC driver version 4.71 might show that your ASPI is properly installed on your system, but in fact it might not always be true. If it is properly installed then the drop down list located in BPM DETECTOR LIGHT will show your CD drive or DVD drive.

NERO DRIVER

Nero AG is the producer of this driver.

You can get the NERO driver here (Please follow installation instructions carefully):

http://www.nero.com/en/WNASPI32.DLL.html

NOTE: If your burning software is NERO, you can easily check if your ASPI driver is correctly installed by going to "START" then "All Programs" then "Nero" then "Nero Toolkit" then clicking on "Nero InfoTool", once the program has retrieved the information, click on the "ASPI" tab, select "System ASPI" in the drop down list, and check at the end of the window if you have a green band with written "ASPI is installed and working properly", if you have anything else then your ASPI driver might not be installed correctly. Note, on the "ASPI" tab, you can also select "Nero ASPI" in the drop down list, if you have a green band with written "ASPI is installed and working properly" it might suffice in order to run BPM DETECTOR PRO. If you NERO software did not come with INFOTOOL, you can download it here (Please follow installation instructions carefully):
