Computer at Farb Home Seized, DA Holmes Says

Investigators executed a search warrant at the home
of Houston socialite Carolyn Farb and seized a home
computer and other items, Harris County DA, John B.
Holmes Jr. said Wednesday.

Holmes said authorities went to Farb's River Oaks home
earlier in the week after officials of a long distance
telephone company alerted them that they believed some
one at the home was using the equipment to make un-
authorized long-distance calls.

Farb could not be reached for comment late Wednesday.

Holmes said authorities did not know who might have
been using the computer, and he said no one was
arrested when the computer was seized. He said a Harris
County grand jury will examine the case once the in-
vestigation is complete.

Holmes said the telephone company intiated the invest-
igation, but he said he did not know how much the alleged
theft of service amounted to or over what period it
allegedly occurred.
