Articles about the raid on www.raisethefist.com:
According to Sherman Austin, the 19 year old owner/operator of RaisetheFist.com, the pretext for the FBI raid on his home was some of the content in the Reclaim Guide. I have mirrored this document at Carnegie Mellon. This is what Sherman is quoted as saying to an interviewer:
``They told me the main reason for the raid was because of the content on the site, and they wanted to see who was looking at it. This was not the main reason. It was an excuse. The alledged content which they claim they were so concerned about is from the Reclaim Guide.''
I'm a registered Republican, so needless to say, I don't agree with the site owner's politics. But I'm curious why the FBI would use this Reclaim Guide as a pretext to seize a private citizen's computers.
Other material mirrored from the same directory at this site can be found here. Some files that I was not able to find in Google's cache, but would like to take a look at, are www.raisethefist.com/exit/1.html through 7.html. If you have these files, I'd appreciate a copy.
