Subject: Reply from Dundalk Examiner

Why is it that a great mystery has been created out of nothing. As part of an
investigation into collusion between Gardai ( Irish Police) and the IRA in
County Louth the Dundalk Examiner has "come upon" new material that backs up
the collusion allegations. In connection with this we simply requested an
interview with Kevin Fulton and for legal reasons he declined. I sent him an
email inviting him to re-consider as the paper was going to feature a piece
about him and he was entitled to have his say. Kevin then forwarded the email
to Cryptome and for unknown reasons Cryptome considered it "publishable"
material. Then after publishing the journalists name and email address,
Cryptome then decides to do some research on the Dundalk Examiner (keep in mind
the paper hasnt even been launched yet).

BINGO! Cryptomes "google" research comes up with no details for the Dundalk
Examiner, (someone put 2 and 2 together and come up with a new spy
thriller) Cryptome believes this may be some kind of trap by someone to try and
smoke out Kevin Fulton. A classic case of cart before the horse, surely
Cryptome should have done a little research before publishing someones details
because the newspaper is to be launched in April. We informed Kevin Fulton that
the paper was to be launched in April but both he and Cryptome chose to ignore
this as it would have dismissed their new mystery prematurely.

I then contacted Cryptome by phone but still they  are not convinced that there
is not more to this tail. Cryptome did tell me that they do not wish to judge
anyone but obviously they have judged it ok to publish my name and email
address against my wishes and on the direction of Kevin Fulton. Very strange
indeed.

Signed: Dundalk Examiners Owen Brennan.

Keep up the good work!

19 March 2005. Cryptome can find no reference online to a current Dundalk Examiner, only a reference to a newspaper by that name which ceased publication in 1960. Nor can journalist "Owen Brennan" be located online. However, a party with the same originating IP address (83.71.33.232) as that below, but with a different name and (route-traceable Hotmail) e-mail address, has written Cryptome asking that name and the address of the email message below be deleted to protect "Owen Brennan" from retribution for contacting Fulton.

Not until the mystery is solved, despite NI's great legacy of officially-blessed unsolved mysteries. Verification of a current Dundalk Examiner and Owen Brennan invited: jya@pipeline.com

This email was sent to kevin@explosive-art.com [http://www.explosive-art.com].

Police have leaked files to this Dundalk newspaper [Dundalk Examiner]. This is an attempt to discredit me before the Garda public enquiry.

comments = Peter you havent come back to me, unfortunately those at the
paper are going to do something on you. They have spoken to some of
your family members and other who know you. They are also going to publish
photos and part of a criminal police file. Please come back to me to
see if we can sort something out before publication.
