The Air Force seeks to identify commercially available products that meet the following requirements: based on the IEEE 802.11 standard; operate in one or more frequency bands authorized for military use in the continental United States (CONUS) and overseas, i.e., outside the continental United States (OCONUS); and uses an encryption method which has been validated or is currently in the process of being validated under the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or the National Security Agency (NSA).
