Game 1 started badly for the Patriots, with Coach and starting pitcher David Olivas, one of the fastest in the country, damaging his elbow during his warm-up.

He struggled through the first two innings, giving up five walks and six runs, before taking himself off the mound to be replaced by Ian Stocking.

The standout offensive performance was undoubtedly that of David Olivas, who went 4-for-5 with a double and a home run.

Afterwards, Olivas said: “It was an excellent team effort. I’d like to say that we won Game 2 the way it should be done, with heart and passion for the game.”
