there were a number of chips destroyed during the GCHQ zeroisation debacle.

- keyboard controller chip

- trackpad controller chip

- inverting converter chip

This is the type of covert implant hardware you would request destroyed rather than leave in the hands of an adversary.

To be clear, this was not about reclaiming storage on secondary devices on a system, but about covering the tracks left on already compromised systems.
