25 June 2010
A sends via PGPBoard 25 June 2010: Things are getting worse in Guinea Bissau, Africas first "narcostate". The Guinea Bissau President, Malam Bacai Sanhá, issued today a Presidential Decree appointing Major-General António Indjai as the new Chief of the Armed Forces (CEMGFA; Chefe do Estado-Maior General das Forças Armadas). He is known to be close to José Américo Bubo Na Tchuto, named by the United States of America as a "drug kingpin". Mr. António Indjai was the man behind [Bubo Na Tchuto and] the "coup scare" back in April when Carlos Gomes Junior, the Prime-Minister, was detained. Now, Mr. Gomes Junior has recommended Mr. Indjai [to the President] for the "job". Portuguese Intelligence (SIED) in Bissau (Guinea Bissau is a former Portuguese colony) are working close with DEA and French Intelligence (DGSE), because, well, Guinea Bissau is a fertile ground for Al-Qaida, Drug Lords, etc.
