Today, Jennifer Hudson, FOIA Office, Office of Director of National Intelligence, called in response to Cryptome's telephone inquiry yesterday and today to Mr. Jim McCormick of that office (703-275-2219) about the status of an FOIA request for information concerning Intellipedia, below. Despite FOIA requirements to acknowledge a request with an explanation of the prospects for a response, there was no response to the September 2009 request. The request was repeated in January 2010, below. Ms. Hudson said the agency was trying to figure out how to respond to the many requests received for Intellipedia information. She said the volume of requests was unusual and not easy to respond to. She suggested calling again in a few weeks. That appears to be non-responsive under FOIA requirements.
