____________________________ Stuff for an ISP: - Sean ¥ 1 G3 Server Edition Computer - $5000 ¥ T1 - ??? ¥ 20 phone lines - ??? ¥ 20 CyberBullet Gold 56k External Modems @ $94 each - $1880 ¥ Hubs, Routers, etc - $2000 Total: Per Month: $8,880 Lines and T1? ____________________________ Jim - Web hosting: ¥ G3 powerbook - $3700 ¥ Zip Drive for G3 Powerbook - $200 Total: $3,900 ____________________________ Total Loan: $14,000 To get started, this is what we'd need. We can expand as much as our budget would allow. Sean does networking, and makes the ISP "work". Jim does web design. Sean lets Jim host his web pages on the ISP, and provides domain names (If possible). Sean gets money made by the ISP, Jim gets money made from Web hosting. When monthly payments are made to pay off the loan, they are split. The long-term effect of this method is Sean paying $7000 and Jim paying $7000. Jim will be paying more than he is taking out, which will comphensate for Sean allowing Jim to host directly off the ISP's T1.
