Versendaal was being taught, which uses a treatment method based on Protomorphogens (PMG). If any one as info on that please let me know. One of Dr. Versendaal points is not to drink positively charged water [such as typical city water with chlorine in it]. This lead to talking about Dr. Flanagan's work with water, and inevitably to the Neurophone. Dr. C. wanted to know if the Neurophone would work on some one who was deaf, as he has couple of patients that are deaf. I told him that Dr. Flanagan had said that it had in several cases. Since my wife, Karen, and I have been occupied with other matters of late I offered to lend him Karen's Neurophone for him to try it. I gave Dr. C. a copy of Dr. Begich's Towards a New Alchemy: The Millennium Science book where the Neurophone is discussed in detail to read and the Thinkman Neurophone. After investing in a set of ear plugs, and a set of hearing protectors used for shooting/hunting he tried the Neurophone out on him self, so that he could not hear with his ears in the normal manner. He found that he could perceive the Neurophone sound in the center of his head, when placing the transducers on his forehead, or holding them in each hand. His wife told me he "was having lots of fun" trying it on people, such as herself, who all heard some thing with it. Dr. C. said he had one of his Deaf patients read the part about the Neurophone in the New Alchemy book. He said one woman broke down in tears and asked "Is this possible?". Case #1: The first person Dr. C. tried it on was completely deaf in her left ear, and had 65% hearing in the right. When she tried it she said she could perceive the sound, a tape of classic string music, in her left ear. Since he heard the sound in the center of his head he questioned her about this. She said she "clearly heard the sound in her left ear". I do not know the cause of her deafness, and I believe she is in her sixties. She has decided to buy a Neurophone of her own. Case #2: We 'hearings' as we are some times refereed to as by the Deaf Community may find this confusing, but things are never quite as simple as they would seem. To those of us that have "normal" hearing, unless educated otherwise, we would think that a deaf person would jump at a chance to be able to hear. That is not always the case. Observe the Deaf-L mailing list if you would like to learn more about this. At any rate, the subject of Case #2, is a forty year old female who has been deaf since age of three due to spinal meningitis. She said (via writing) that she was interested in trying the Neurophone but did not have the time right then. She did not show up for her next appointment, seems her husband would not let her come back. When she did reappear she said she had asked her husband and her medical doctor about using the Neurophone. The medical doctor's reply was "Absolutely Not! We don't know what this Chiropractors gizmo is going to do to you!". [I'm not even going to get into what I think of the "established medical profession" after seeing how my wifes been treated by them, see Karen's Pain page for info on that.] Her husband, who is also deaf, was dead set against her using it. So she did not for that day. A few days latter she came back in, saying she snuck away from her husband for a few minutes so she could try the Neurophone. Dr. C. tried putting it on her cheek bones, and on her temples. After a a bit of time he said the expression on her face changed to a mixture of confusion and excitement. She said she heard the sound coming from her left ear. Dr. C. asked her to confirm that it was her left ear that she perceived the sound in, and she it was. He asked if there was any difference between her ears. She said that that she had gone deaf in the right ear first. At this point she said she was out of time, and that if she stayed longer she would be missed. She had been using the Neurophone for less than four minutes. She said she would be back, but she was not going to tell her husband at this point. She returned a few days later and used the Neurophone for about 20 minutes. Where once again she could hear with her left ear. She returned a few days latter saying she was not going to use the Neurophone any more due to pressure from her husband and others.
