Subject: Coop Voisins website

A Website has been set up for Coop Voisins (my home since early this
summer). Currently this includes basic location information and
promotion of the units, but will eventually also be a central
communications spot for those members in the Coop that are Internet
connected. Internet projects, including an access project to get
Voisins members online is underway.

The Communities Before Cars Coalition (CBCC) is an alliance of 14
Ottawa community associations stretching from Lebreton Flats to
Carlingwood and covering large parts of the federal ridings of Ottawa
Centre and Ottawa West-Nepean. Through its member associations, the
Coalition represents at least 85,000 people, and has the support of many
thousands more in other communities throughout the Regional Municipality
of Ottawa-Carleton.

The Wellness Foundation; The World Business Academy, Ottawa Chapter, and
The QLN Network (Quality of Life) invite you on Nov 27th, your family, and
friends to a showing of The Wellness Foundation's video, which premiered at
the U.N. on October 6th 1997, Habitat Day:
"THE FLOWERING OF OUR HUMAN SPIRIT - its healing time on planet earth"
The views expressed lever off of Albert Einstein's comment that
"problems cannot be solved at the level of consciousness that created them."
This is being organised to support BUY NOTHING DAY!! and will include an
open discussion on the meaning of community, the factors affecting our
well-being, our quality of life, and alternatives to consumerism.
