Statistika aastaraamat. 1994. 1995. Eesti Statistikaamet. Tallinn. 246 lk. (In Estonian and English). Explanatory note: "Final energy consumption is measure of energy delivered to the final user. It therefore includes energy sources which are delivered to final users, including electricity." But it excludes energy which is lost in the process of transforming primary energy sources into delivered energy. Distribution losses and consumption within the energy sector are also excluded. The energy products considered are: "Solid fuels (all coal, peat, oil shale, derived products such as patent fuels, and coke, coke oven gas, blast furnace gas, wood, waste used as fuel)." "Oil and Petroleum products include products derived from the refining of crude oil (petrol, gasoline, aviation gasoline, oil fuels for heating, transport, jet fuel and liquid petroleum gas)." "Gas is mainly natural gas, but also includes derived products such gasworks gas, coke-oven gas, blast-furnace gas." "Fossil Fuels means solid fuels, oil and gas." Electricity means electrical energy obtained from power stations "Heat includes heat production from public combined heat and power (CHP) plants, from autoproduced heat that is sold to third parties, and heat for district heating. " Data for 1985 are mainly based on Annual Bulletin of General Energy Statistics for Europe. For Denmark figures of 1985 correspond to 1986 and for East Germany data of 1980 year corresponds to 1981. a) Final electric energy consumption in Latvia 1980 was 25.32 PJ. b) Final consumption of gas was 27.23 PJ and electricity 31.54 PJ in Latvia 1990. c) Final electric energy consumption in Lithuania 1980 was 41.61 PJ and in 1985 it was 53.07 PJ. n.a. = data not available - = missing category
