Could spores be germinated in maple syrup water like with honey water?

Or even can shrooms be stored in maple syrup like in honey to last longer? That way I could mix a ton of powered mushies in with it then toss her in the freezer (ms doesnt freeze) and then have it on ice cream... yum yjm

I doubt they would germinate in the maple syrup. However they would probably store in it, and taste real good too.

Honey has been used extensivly because it is cheap readily available. Dextrose is cheap, quick, easy to measure, use, and makes up a clear solution which is easy to eyeball for contams. Honey & Dextrose Teks are well proven.
