F(?) Virtual Window Manager [http/ftp]
A lot of window managers will tout configurability as a feature, but they dont even know the meaning of the word. FVWM is incredible, every single action, feature, apeearance, evrything can be changed and configured to your liking. The configuration is fuly scriptable, you can define your own functions and bind any action/event/key to it, you can even have it processesed by m4! check out these screenshots of my current configuration here[gopher], and here[gopher]. Other people have put their screenshots here[http], and this[http] project makes example configurations that make fvwm work and act like other famous managers!
