Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching the Cleveland Browns lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns are, arguably, one of the worst teams in professional football right now. But i do like them because of their fans' riduculous love of the team. I first came to Cleveland in the fall of 1996, which I believe is the first year Cleveland didn't have a football team (they had moved to Baltimore to become the Ravens). During the four years that the Browns didn't exist, Cleveland fans still supported their non-existant team. You could even buy merchandise still anywhere you wanted. Now that their back, the fans continue to complain about their performance, but they still retain the unwavering belief that their team will win every game they play. I know a lot of other cities have fanatical fans, but to have fanatical fans when you don't have a team? Wierd... Thanksgiving is coming up, and my sister is flying out to stay with my wife and me for the week starting next week. So this week I need to work some 10 hour days so that I won't need so much vacation while she's here. It's going to be hell, but I guess it'll be nice to have thee week off. Adios, Jeff .
